DESIGNED BY KATE GOULD & CONSTRUCTED BY THE GARDEN BUILDERS.
This lush sunken garden, called ‘A Joy Forever’, was awarded a silver gilt medal at the 2010 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. It was designed by Kate Gould and constructed by The Garden Builders, and sponsored by Hartman UK for the Urban Garden category. The space was conceived as an outdoor room for an imaginary ‘cool urban couple’ and features numerous elements normally associated with interiors.

The centrepiece is a state of the art bio-gel fireplace with a polished concrete chimney breast. Comfortable seating by Hartman UK and a cleverly designed storage area complete the sleek, urban feel. Lovely, lush planting on raised beds surround the space, providing a comfortable, relaxing environment for dining. The striking water feature provides an amazing flourish to this detail-oriented design.
