This contemporary garden designed by Shelley Hugh-Jones and built by Garden Builders is part of a stunning house and garden redevelopment. A generous polished concrete patio continues from inside to outside and steps down to sawn sandstone paving stones that run through the large lawn up to the entertainment and relaxation area at the back of the garden. The whole garden is bordered by clipped hedging and trees, which are also positioned to divide the garden into different useable spaces. A dramatic, large cedar pergola spans the entire width of the back of the garden and is the main focal point of the scheme.

OUTDOOR KITCHEN, CEDAR BATTEN FENCING GARDEN DESIGN.
It houses an outdoor kitchen, integrated Napoleon barbeque, seating and a large dining table. Adjacent, is an area for relaxation, which comprises of rendered and timber seating positioned around a square rendered wood burning fire pit. A stainless steel cover doubles as a low table. A combination of cedar batten fencing adds warmth to the scheme and the black fencing acts as a foil for the planting which comprises in the main of clipped planting, hydrangeas, ferns, grasses and climbers. It is essentially a mix of greens of varied hues and textures with the addition of white and touches of soft pink in the climbing roses growing up the pergola.
