This smart Kensington garden has a unique and attractive contemporary design, with its deep tones and carefully composed planting. The garden is divided into two functional levels - a lower terrace for entertaining and an upper terrace serving as relaxation zone, with sleek loungers and lush planting. The black slatted horizontal trellis adds a sophisticated outlook to the scheme, smartly backdropping the greenery while the tall magnolia trees complemented by tropical under-planting pull the eye toward the end of the garden.
Clever details abound such as the integration of an L-shaped cantilevered bench of iroko wood in the lower terrace's flight of steps, giving it a dual function of decorative seating and walkway. Its warm honey colour beautifully offsets the garden's stylish blue-grey colour theme. Elegant slate paving not only covers the floor surface but also clads many of the retaining walls. In the evenings, the garden's smartness is further heightened by subtle LED lighting.
